East L.A. Makeover: The Bathroom

Moving on now.
Now that I’ve gotten over the novelty of having a clean closet where I can throw my shoes and hang my jackets and keep my skeletons, it’s now time for stage 2 of my pad revamp.

The bathroom.

Whereas the Living Room Closet was primarily a chore in clearing and straightening out, there was very little creativity involved. Just plain ol’ hard work, lifting stuff, throwing it out or (in my case) moving it to another room, maybe some sweeping, vacuuming, folding, etc. But essentially, there was not very much re-designing.

In stage 2, that may change. My bathroom is not a mess and I’m not that displeased with it. But as I’ve said before, it’s very scattered and disorganized, and the primary goal of this exercise is to minimize, streamline and harmonize this place. Based on my goals for the bathroom, I may have to visit the store and buy various organizing items which will keep “stuff” in is place.

Frankly, I think the bathroom portion of my Makeover can be accomplished in a day. Just my plan for now, but it pays not to make plans. Especially with this ordeal. Remember the best laid plans of mice and men…
