See what he did there?
Monsieur Trump, the rash American, the belligerent wordsmith of offense and egregious snubbery, understands well the effects of words, and the psychological and cultural ramifications of their specific utterances. He is in tune with the collective dialogue of the moment. He’s 69, but he knows what pisses the Gawkerati and all the rest of that more-civilized-than-thou crowd which delights in looking down its collective beaks at the rest of us who do not fulfill and meet its behavioral expectations built on the shaky threshold that erects that certain level of social reticence and quasi-thoughtfulness predicated on social liberalism and acceptance.
He knows what sets the nice Libs off and what gets their panties a-rollin’ and this knowledge, this analytical perception of social expectations allows him to pull triggers any time he wishes. Donald Trump pulls multiple triggers at once. He is adept at killing two sacred cows with one bullet. His latest?
Rape and China.
Love this Donald.
This is why he will become President.
This is why those of us (and there are multitudes) who despise, resent, the totalitarian strictures of Social Justice Warriordom in the year 2016, welcome our whacked Presidential candidate with such a cathartic embrace.
And today, he did it again. This was Donald Trump at his best trigger-happy defiant snubbery.
Not only is he insulting China, he threw in the rape aspect, another holy grail concept in our over-civilized era.
Donald Trump on Sunday compared the U.S.’s trade deficit with China, which he regularly laments and vows to tackle as president, to rape.
“We can’t continue to allow China to rape our country, and that’s what they’re doing,” Trump said during his second rally Sunday in Fort Wayne, Indiana, referring to China’s high number of exports relative to the U.S.
Trump has repeatedly accused China of manipulating its currency to make its exports more competitive on the global market and has claimed that China is “killing” the U.S. on trade.
But Sunday marks the first time this campaign that Trump has used the term “rape” to refer to what he views as China’s dominance in trade with the U.S.
I hope you don’t have a stake in the “rape oppression” movement while being Chinese because then Donald truly has struck twice.
What makes this so fantastic is that Donald Trump could have phrased this sentiment in so many other politically palatable forms but he deliberately chose the one guaranteed to offend the willy-nilly’s the most. We all know it’s a figure of speech and most of us think it or say it privately, but in the communal BS chat room of cultural dialog, this kind of utterance defies proprieties of conformist behavior.
Donald Trump proudly snubs conformist proprieties and that is why…
Presidential candidate Trump is the Trigger President.
Let’s accept this and celebrate it because eventually the gnarled, arthritic claws of etiquette and mild behavior will reign in the US of A again. For now, let’s enjoy this liberated moment in the sun.
Even if only for eight years.
