Mexicans…what say ye in the matter of Kathryn Steinle? | “Who is Francisco Sanchez?”

I went out of my way the other day to minimize the severity of Donald Trump’s tirades behind the reasonable observation that crime on the part of Mexican illegal aliens is not tremendously noteworthy (statistically speaking).

And then what happens?

Fucking Francisco Sanchez is what happens.

What the hell?

On the heels of Trump’s comments last week regarding the alleged dangerous criminality of Mexican illegal aliens, what better and more convenient incident than the shooting death of Kathryn Steinle on Wednesday outside SF’s foodie Ferry Building in the middle of the day?

By all accounts, a rather mysterious shooting, utterly random in nature, and lacking any discernible motive.

The man suspected of fatally shooting a 32-year-old woman on Pier 14 next to the San Francisco Ferry Building in broad daylight on Wednesday has been arrested, police announced Thursday.
Police said Francisco Sanchez, of Texas, apparently shot the woman at random, with no apparent motive.

The victim, identified by the medical examiner’s office as Kathryn Steinle, was found suffering from at least one gunshot wound to her upper torso at about 6:30 p.m. near the Embarcadero and Mission Street in the city’s South Beach neighborhood, police said.
On Thursday, divers scoured the bay near the pier to look for evidence.
Police announced at a press conference Thursday afternoon the 45-year-old male suspect was arrested. Officers said Steinle was the victim of a random attack.

And from earlier today:

Steinle, 32, of Pleasanton, was gunned down Wednesday evening near the Embarcadero and Mission Street in the city’s South Beach neighborhood. Police arrested Francisco Sanchez following what they believe is a random incident.
New details emerged about the suspect Friday when the Department of Homeland Security’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency reported that Sanchez is an undocumented immigrant with nearly a dozen aliases and a long criminal history. He has previously been deported to Mexico five times, according to authorities.

San Francisco County Sheriff’s Legal Counsel Freya Horne told NBC Bay Area Friday that the city and county of San Francisco are sanctuaries for immigrants, and they do not turn over undocumented people – if they don’t have active warrants out for them – simply because immigration officials want them to.

I could not have chosen a more tailor-made egregious case to muffle the anti-Trump forces than the case of Francisco Sanchez. What a splendid truth-stranger-than fiction scenario!

Sanchez, illegal, deported, Mexican, and emblematic of San Francisco’s overly liberal sanctuary policy.

Who cares if a thousand illegal aliens followed in Sanchez’ wake and didn’t so much as shoplift a piece of candy?

All that matters is the horribly visible destruction of a San Franciscan’s life for no conceivable reason other than the pure sport of death. Donald Trump won this match.

Unfortunately Kathryn Steinle was a loser, as well. Her tragic death is forgotten amid the politicized circus that this Trumpian saga escalated into.

In my post linked earlier, I alluded to the illegal alien “zero tolerance” policy that attends their criminal behavior. Even if the general swath of Mexican immigrant crime is not as overbearing as Trump might infer with his exclamations, their most minute penal infractions should nevertheless not happen if the U.S.’s Southern border were secure. No illegal aliens, no illegal alien crime.

But when the case becomes cold-blooded murder, our investment turns brutally serious.
