Mike Rogers (Big Brother) has announced he will not seek an eighth term, effectively leaving Congress.
Good to hear. I’m sure it’s owing entirely to my post on Sunday.
Representative Mike Rogers, the Intelligence Committee chairman who has been a critic of President Obama’s plans to overhaul the government’s surveillance practices, said Friday that he would not seek an eighth term.
Mr. Rogers has also been fiercely critical of Mr. Snowden, who has been indicted for leaking large numbers of classified National Security Agency documents and is living under asylum in Russia. Mr. Rogers has said that Mr. Snowden might be working with Russia’s intelligence service, without offering evidence.
Well, let us not rejoice yet. There are more like him happy to fill his slot with aggressive agendas.
